Lingate advises iconic Al & Alma’s Dinner Cruises and Supper Club on internal ownership transition

Following in the tradition of the "hands-on" owners before them, Merritt and Daryl Geyen have sold Lake Minnetonka icons Al & Alma’s Dinner Cruises and Al & Alma’s Supper Club to long-time General Manager Jay Soule.  Lingate Financial Group served as an advisor to Merritt and Daryl Geyen in the transaction. 

Al and Alma Quist purchased the Chester Park Grocery store on the shores of Lake Minnetonka in 1956 and remodeled it into a restaurant. After acquiring the Supper Club in 1973, James "Bud" and Eileen Nolan introduced the first charter boat as a complement to the Supper Club.  Since 1983, owners Merritt and Daryl Geyen and General Manager Jay Soule updated and expanded the dinner cruise fleet to seven ships and extensively remodeled the Supper Club, creating a quintessential Lake Minnetonka summer dining experience.  All of the current staff and employees will be staying on with new President and CEO Jay Soule to insure continuation of the company’s first-class dinner cruises and lakeside dining.  For more information about Al & Alma’s, please visit their website at www.al-almas.com.
